St. Louis Plant Manager Overview:
The St. Louis Plant Manager will direct all the functions of the plant day to day. The Plant Manager will meet with direct reports supervising production, assembly, quality, scheduling, maintenance, and HS&E departments on a regular basis. The Plant Manager will identify areas within the plant to implement change initiatives to improve cost effectiveness, quality, plant safety, or other important areas of concern.
St. Louis Plant Manager Job Opening
- The St. Louis Plant Manager will direct and manage direct reports in order to drive improvements across all Key Performance Indicators.
- Each day, hold a meeting of operations leaders to receive progress reports and share information as well as priorities.
- Responsible for the hiring, onboarding, coaching, and firing of all employees according to company policies and all external regulations.
- The St. Louis Plant Manager will serve as a champion for all safety and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Develop a set of best practices for the facility.
- Create short and long term plans for the facility to continuously improve in the aspects of cost effectiveness, quality, safety, and other major areas.
- Work with plant leadership to develop products at the best cost with the shortest lead time.
- The St. Louis Plant Manager will foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Plant Manager (St. Louis Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in business, engineering, or a related area from an accredited institution.
- At least seven to ten years of experience in manufacturing.
- At least five years of plant management experience.
- Experience in low-volume, high mix production or fabrication is preferable.
- Familiar with the principles of Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S.
- Excellent leadership skills, able to influence and motivate others.
- Able to lead value stream mapping exercises.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to comprehend and interpret technical documents, legal documents, manuals, and other materials.
- Familiar with materials management as well as shop floor scheduling.
