Minneapolis Plant Manager Overview:
The plant manager will ensure that the plant is clean, safe, and productive while remaining efficient and functioning at appropriate cost levels. The Plant Manager shall work to create a motivated and enthusiastic work environment. The Plant Manager will develop operating and capital budgets for the facility. Another focus for the plant manager will consistently improve processes and technologies. Additionally the Plant Manager will be the face of the company for the facility.
Minneapolis Plant Manager Job Opening
- Ensure that the Plant follows proper safety protocols and regulations to minimize any safety related issues.
- Create and enforce standards to ensure products are produced on time while matching quality standards.
- The Minneapolis Plant Manager will control operational and capital budgets to control costs within the facility.
- Identify the proper plant headcount. Guide recruiting, hiring, training, and termination activities.
- The Minneapolis Plant Manager will serve as the subject matter expert for the product line in the facility.
- Build and maintain with strong professional relationships with personnel throughout the plant.
- Lead in continuous improvement and change projects to improve plant functions.
- Develop, implement, and refine best practices for the facility.
- Field and handle and employee issues and concerns alongside human resources. Ensure that problems are rectified satisfactorily.
- Lead in major projects within the facility.
- Oversee merit pay systems within company guidelines.
- Identify areas of improvement and notify the management team of these areas.
Plant Manager (Minneapolis Area) Job Requirements:
- A minimum of a four year degree in a discipline of engineering, an MBA in operations would be preferred.
- A great familiarity with OSHA regulations.
- Familiar with capital expenditure management.
- Trained in Lean Six Sigma, certification preferred.
- Great communication skills, written and verbal, with personnel at every level.
- Good organizational and priorization skills.
- Experience with ISO and best practice standards.
- Proficient with Microsoft word and excel
- SAP and ERP database systems, preferred.
- Some chemistry experience would be beneficial.
