The Sioux Falls Continuous Improvement Leader will identify areas of the manufacturing process that could be changed and improved to save costs, improve quality, or improve safety. The change agent will work with production and engineering staff to better understand systems and identify areas for improvement. The Continuous Improvement Leader will report to the plant manager. This Sioux Falls, South Dakota job will also require the Continuous Improvement Leader to lead projects.

• Develop and distribute production sequences, work schedules, and assignments.
• Deliver clear and understandable direction to personnel.
• The Sioux Falls Continuous Improvement Leader observes manufacturing processes to identify areas of inefficacy or potential hazards.
• Prepare labor and material estimates for new jobs and projects, ensure the needed resources are on hand to complete the job on time.
• Sioux Falls Continuous Improvement Leader identifies areas where the manufacturing process could be modified to improve quality, safety, or cost.
• Participate in the determination of productivity and workmanship standards.
• Review operations metrics to determine areas for improvement.
• The Sioux Falls Continuous Improvement Leader plans continuous improvement and lean projects, implement changes to production and training.
• Interface with supervisors to schedule activities between departments.
• The Sioux Falls Continuous Improvement Leader will improve employee motivation, production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency thorough the facility.
• Identify opportunities for cross training between departments, prepare and lead in trainings.
• Ensure the all external and internal rules and regulations are followed.

Continuous Improvement Leader (Sioux Falls Area) Job Requirements:

• A four year degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or a related discipline.
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
• Five years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
• Great organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Good written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience managing projects would be beneficial for this job.
• Lean Six Sigma training, certification would be preferred.
• A devotion to safety, demonstrated ability to implement safety improvements.
• Demonstrated ability to implement successful process improvements.
