Jackson Production Control Supervisor Overview:

The Production Control Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the warehouse as well as the shipping and receiving department of the Jackson, Michigan warehouse. The Production Control Supervisor will implement policies and maintain ongoing corporate standards to ensure that priorities are properly focused on and that the company’s job objectives are met. The Production Control Supervisor will not need to travel outside of Jackson, Michigan.

Jackson Production Control Supervisor Job Opening

Oversee the warehouse in addition to the shipping and receiving department.
The Production Control Supervisor must direct and manage warehouse personnel.
Direct and manage the shipping and receiving personnel at the Jackson, Michigan site.
Maintain a database of all shipping and receiving records.
The Production Control Supervisor will perform inventory checks in the warehouse, ensure that minimum levels are maintained.
Ensure that all warehouse counts are accurate, performing monthly audits and spot audits as necessary for different jobs.
The Production Control Supervisor must analyze, review, improve, develop, and provide reports on all policies in the warehouse and also the shipping and receiving department at the Jackson, Michigan site.
Ensure that department policy aligns with corporate goals and strategies.
The Production Control Supervisor will prepare and deliver department performance appraises every other year, measure department progress against company objectives at the Jackson, Michigan plant.
For this job, the Production Control Supervisor must perform yearly evaluation on all direct reports, provide feedback and coaching the the personnel.

Production Control Supervisor (Jackson Area) Job Requirements:

The Production Control Supervisor requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is a necessity.
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, logistics, supply chain management would be strongly preferred.
5 years of experience working in a logistics role.
A minimum of two years serving in a leadership position related to warehousing and/or shipping and receiving.
Must possess a thorough understanding of Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) quality standards, packaging systems, and guidelines.
Demonstrated ability to manage others.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal communication.
Familiar with using computers and certain software, such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint), MAPICs, and AS400.
Attention to detail, ability to multitask and manage overlapping priorities.
Excellent organizational skills, able to keep and maintain documents and records.
