Long Beach General Manager Overview:

For this job, the General Manager will have full P & L responsibility for the Long Beach, California plant. He or she must be able to drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining the integrity of the company’s brand and still producing great products of the clients. The General Manager will be in charge of the entire business unit in Long Beach, California. He or she will need to be a proactive planner and strategist of where the unit will get to be. The General Manager will be overseeing all 80 people in the business unit in Long Beach and will have several direct reports. Additionally, the General Manager will be reporting to the management team of the holding company which is based outside of Long Beach.

• The General Manager is responsible for directing the entirety of the business unit and driving it towards company goals and objectives.
• For this job, the role must keep cost and profit in mind when coming up with all decisions.
• The position must be a motivator of people, driving continuous improvement from all workers and optimizing their productivity.
• The General Manager will facilitate a strong, winning business culture and help ease the transition in Long Beach from a smaller business unit to a large one.

General Manager (Long Beach Area) Job Requirements: 

• A 4 year degree (preferably in engineering) is required for this job.
• Job experience in all facets of the precision machining shop floor.
• At least 15 years of job experience in manufacturing and precision machining.
• Job experience motivating workers and increasing their productivity.
