Ann Arbor Machining Manager Overview:

The Machining Manager will be leading all aspects of the machine shop and driving production processes at the Ann Arbor site. He or she will need to communicate business and production goals to production team members and find ways to improve processes in order to increase efficiency. The Machining Manager must integrate lean manufacturing processes into the shop. The Machining Manager will have the entire shop floor at Ann Arbor reporting to him or her. This position will also be reporting to executive management at the Ann Arbor site.

• The Machining Manager must develop short and long-term goals for the production floor in order to increase productivity.
• For this job, the role will develop machine shop lean manufacturing methods in order to remove manufacturing waste and streamline the processes with which the company produces goods.
• The position will be involved with scheduling, planning, and equipment management.
• The Machining Manager will fix issues that relate to equipment, efficiency, and production delays.
• The role will work with other departments as they pertain to production.
• The position must spearhead safety and workplace efficiency.
• The Machining Manager will not need to travel outside of Ann Arbor, Michigan for his role.

Machining (Ann Arbor Area) Job Requirements: 

• A wealth of CNC knowledge will be essential for this job.
• At least 5 years of job experience managing a machine shop and setting production schedules.
• Demonstrated leadership and managerial experience.
• Ability to communicate and motivate people.
• CNC maintenance and equipment experience is a plus for this job.
