Angola Manufacturing Engineer Overview:

The Manufacturing Engineer will first and foremost need to engineer different process improvements for the company’s manufacturing facilities in greater Angola, Indiana. He or she will utilize automation, machine design, machine selection, and system design in order to improve the processes at the Angola plant. The Manufacturing Engineer must spearhead the launching of new machines utilized in the manufacturing process at the Angola site, as well as new manufacturing methods. Additionally, he or she must continuously seek out and rectify issues with production and manufacturing in order to constantly improve them. This job will be reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Angola Manufacturing Engineer Job Opening

• The Manufacturing Engineer must engineer ways to streamline the company’s manufacturing process by the elimination and reduction of manufacturing waste in the greater Angola, Indiana.
• The role must review blueprints and schematics in order to analyze data on how the company manufactures different products.
• For this job, the position must research production problems and ways to improve them.
• The Manufacturing Engineer will liaison with other departments, such as quality engineering, in order to develop plans that would rectify production issues.
• The role will help create instructions on how to use various machines in the manufacturing facility.
• The Manufacturing Engineer will be disseminating training programs on various process improvements within the manufacturing plant.
• The role must keep track of equipment and worker efficiency and recommend solutions on how to improve them.
• The Manufacturing Engineer will have minimal travel outside of Angola, Indiana and will fulfill any other ancillary duties as assigned.

Manufacturing Engineer (Angola Area) Job Requirements:

• A 4 year Bachelor’s Degree is required for this job (engineering preferred).
• At least 3 years of experience working in an automotive or machining environments required.
• Six sigma certification is a strong plus for this job.
• Kaizen/Kanban experience is a strong plus for this job.
• Demonstrated  job experience reducing manufacturing waste.
• Strong communication skills.
