Ann Arbor Tool Room Manager Overview: 

The Ann Arbor Tool Room Manager will mostly be responsible for the building and development of the tool engineering team. This job will be overseeing a wide breadth of individuals from a variety of experiences and disciplines. The job will have several direct reports and will be “hands on” in the injection mold shop in an attempt to continuously improve employees and injection molding techniques.

• The Tool Room Manager will be in charge of the injection mold shop and will be leading its workers to better their performances across all metrics.
• The role needs to take charge of all safety and quality functions of the injection mold shop in greater Ann Arbor.
• This Ann Arbor position will guide technicians and engineers by utilizing injection molding and tooling expertise in order to create strategies to reach business goals and improve processes.
• The Tool Room Manager will need to assist in the upkeep, design, fabrication, and usage of equipment and machinery, such as CNC machines, within the shop.
• The role will also need to monitor work schedules and find ways to expediently and efficiently complete jobs.
• The job will be instrumental in identifying cost-saving strategies and analysis of finances and expenditures.

Tool Room Manager (Ann Arbor Area) Job Requirements:

• CAD/CAM knowledge, with Autodesk inventor knowledge.
• Injection Molding experience is essential for this role, especially job experience that involves tooling and mold making.
• CNC background and job experience is required for this job.
• Adept organization skills are required for this job.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.
• Supervisory/Managerial experience is preferred for this role.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in the injection molding background is essential for this job.
