The Receiving Supervisor will ensure timely and accurate receipts of inbound freight in regards to Service Level Requirements at the Los Angeles site. This Los Angeles job is responsible for unloading container/trailer/truck, palletizing, and receiving cases with a put-away process. Receiving Supervisor also trains for the development of associates and participates in daily meetings with leads and personnel as well as conducts a monthly safety meeting. This individual will be able to balance objectives and work while engaging in a safe work environment.

• Builds partnerships with corporate logistics teams to guarantee timely and accurate communication.
• The Receiving Supervisor will participate in developing tools while analyzing existing documents to forecast future workloads and optimize production.
• Must ensure proper scanning of inbound products into reserve racks.
• The Receiving Supervisor will maintain files used for tracking inbound products.
• Training the team in all functions of the receiving processes to ensure all associates are in awareness with the standard activities if the warehouse.
• The Receiving Supervisor will keep the Operations team aware of objectives with daily meeting to keep communication open for various job orders.
• Safeguarding company equipment and its operational fitness to meet and exceed company standards for all sorts of licenses, etc.
• The Receiving Supervisor will partner with departments to troubleshoot issues arising and find resolutions to maximize performance of the organization.
• Maintaining a safe work environment and actively participating in the safety program the organization abides by.
• The Receiving Supervisor will assist with training new and current associates partnering with Managers and Human Resources regarding reviews of the associates as well as interviewing, hiring, termination for them.
• Compliance with OSHA standards is a must and maintaining our team with a safe and clean department must be handled.

Receiving Supervisor (Los Angeles Area) Job Requirements:

• At least 3 years of distribution receiving job experience with the Warehouse Management Software (WMS)
• Ability to read and analyze the general business instructions and manuals and comply by what they say.
• Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from customers, top management, and/or the general public.
• Ability to collect data, establish the facts and define a problem by drawing valid conclusions that will help the organization.
• Ability to deal with concrete variables in many situations while balancing all the situations.
