Dallas Sourcing Manager Job Opening

Develop a competitive supplier base in order to continuously facilitate the company’s lean manufacturing methods
Make sure that suppliers meet requirements when it comes to delivery performance, lead times, cost reduction, and quality
Select excellent suppliers on both a domestic and global scale that meet company expectations
Work with the engineering team so that design changes corroborate with the suppliers
Work with other departments to meet the demands of the market, as well as financial goals
Uphold a logistic strategy and work with differ t supply solutions, such as Kanban, re-order point, supplier managed inventory, and Materials Resource Planning (MRP)
Plan production in order to hit delivery times with shortest throughput time in the company’s plants
Ensure that indirect purchasing provides best quality materials for the most competitive price
Hold the suppliers accountable so that their parts live up to the standards of the company
Make sure that the quality system and quality activities of the suppliers are up to standard

Sourcing Manager (Dallas Area) Job Requirements:

Results-orientedness and creativity will be required to accomplish targets
Dynamism and competitive personalities are a requirement
Leadership and people management are also essential attributes for this position
Self-startedness is also an important attribute to have
High level of drive
Team player who has the ability to inspire competitiveness and optimal performance
Master of Science (MS) degree, supply chain management preferred
Handling tools (such as excel) knowledge is important
A minimum of 8 years experience in a related field
Negotiation experience
Experience utilizing lean production concepts and using them for sourcing
Experience having led teams is a big plus
