We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead sales initiatives, develop customer relationships, and drive revenue growth. This role will oversee sales activities, develop effective strategies, support business development, and lead a results-oriented sales team while maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Position Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
- Establish sales goals, performance targets, and territory plans.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.
- Identify opportunities to expand market presence and increase revenue.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop sales team members.
- Establish performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback.
- Monitor individual and team sales performance.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development initiatives.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic accounts.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Develop relationships with key customers, prospects, and industry stakeholders.
- Lead sales presentations, negotiations, and account development activities.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Understand customer requirements and ensure appropriate solutions are provided.
- Address customer concerns and support timely resolution of issues.
- Promote customer retention, satisfaction, and long-term business growth.
Performance & Reporting
- Track sales activity, pipeline performance, forecasts, and key performance indicators.
- Analyze sales results and develop action plans to address performance gaps.
- Provide regular sales updates and recommendations to leadership.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive sales experience, including leadership or management responsibilities.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business.
- Strong knowledge of sales strategy, business development, and customer relationship management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using CRM systems and standard business software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed for customer and business development activities.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Certified Sales Leadership Professional (CSLP).
- Certified Professional Sales Person (CPSP).
- Professional Certified Marketer (PCM).
- Relevant sales management, business development, or leadership certifications.
