We are seeking a skilled and results-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, improve production efficiency, and support the development and implementation of effective manufacturing solutions. This role will work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement, resolve manufacturing challenges, and support safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations.
Position Responsibilities
Manufacturing Process Improvement
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities to reduce waste, downtime, and manufacturing costs.
- Implement process improvements using data-driven problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Develop and maintain standardized work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing procedures.
Production & Engineering Support
- Provide technical support to production teams and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on new processes, equipment, tooling, and production methods.
- Support equipment and process implementation, validation, and optimization.
- Assist with production capacity planning and process improvement initiatives.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Work with quality teams to identify root causes of manufacturing and quality issues.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor process performance and use manufacturing data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote safe manufacturing practices and ensure processes align with applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in risk assessments, process reviews, and initiatives designed to improve workplace safety.
- Ensure manufacturing processes and documentation remain accurate and compliant.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and process improvement principles.
- Experience with root cause analysis and structured problem-solving.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with relevant engineering, manufacturing, and data analysis software.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE).
- Project Management certification such as PMP.
- Other relevant engineering or manufacturing certifications.
