We are seeking an experienced Sr. Director of Quality to lead and advance quality strategy, systems, and performance across the organization. This role will provide strategic leadership for quality assurance, continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction while building a strong culture of quality throughout the business.
Position Responsibilities
Quality Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the organization’s overall quality strategy and objectives.
- Establish quality standards, policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
- Lead and mentor quality teams, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Partner with senior leadership to align quality initiatives with business objectives.
Quality Management Systems
- Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality management systems.
- Ensure processes consistently meet applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor quality KPIs and implement corrective actions when performance targets are not met.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead initiatives focused on reducing defects, improving processes, and increasing operational efficiency.
- Utilize data-driven methodologies to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement across departments.
Compliance & Audits
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality, regulatory, and industry requirements.
- Oversee internal and external audits and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain appropriate quality documentation and reporting.
Customer & Supplier Quality
- Partner with customers and internal teams to resolve quality concerns and improve customer satisfaction.
- Establish effective processes for handling customer complaints, nonconformances, and corrective actions.
- Support supplier quality initiatives and performance improvement as needed.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in quality management, quality assurance, or a related leadership function.
- Proven experience leading quality teams and organization-wide quality initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, continuous improvement, and root-cause analysis.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and industry quality requirements.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
- Six Sigma certification
- Lean certification
- Other relevant quality or industry certifications
