We are seeking an outgoing, detail-oriented Territory Sales Manager to drive sales growth, develop new business, and strengthen relationships with existing customers within an assigned territory. The ideal candidate will bring proven outside sales experience along with a strong background in millwork, woodworking, and laminate fabrication.
Position Responsibilities
Territory Sales & Business Development
- Pursue new sales leads and develop new customer relationships.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts.
- Identify opportunities for new products and applications.
- Develop and execute customer-specific sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Conduct regular customer visits and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
Customer & Technical Support
- Provide commercial and technical support to customers.
- Work with cabinet shops, OEM furniture manufacturers, building product distributors, designers, and architects.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide appropriate product and solution recommendations.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are addressed effectively.
Pricing & Negotiation
- Prepare and negotiate quotations, pricing, delivery terms, and sales agreements within established authority.
- Monitor competitive pricing and market conditions.
- Recommend pricing strategies in collaboration with sales leadership.
- Negotiate offers and commercial terms to support profitable sales growth.
Market Development
- Conduct ongoing market research and analyze customer requirements.
- Monitor competitor activity and identify changes in market conditions.
- Communicate customer feedback, sales opportunities, and competitive intelligence to internal stakeholders.
- Identify emerging products, applications, and market opportunities.
Supply Chain & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with supply chain teams to coordinate product availability and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Help resolve product, delivery, and service issues affecting customers.
Customer Events & Engagement
- Plan and participate in customer events, trade fairs, presentations, and industry activities.
- Represent the organization professionally at industry and customer functions.
- Build brand awareness and strengthen relationships within the architectural millwork and woodworking communities.
Prerequisites
- 3–7 years of experience in outside sales or a closely related sales role.
- Mandatory background in millwork, woodworking, and laminate fabrication.
- Demonstrated success in developing new business and growing existing accounts.
- Experience working with cabinet manufacturers, OEMs, distributors, designers, architects, or similar customers.
- Strong negotiation and commercial skills.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and provide appropriate technical or product solutions.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing an independent territory.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Relevant sales, business, manufacturing, or technical certifications.
- Industry-specific credentials related to woodworking, millwork, cabinetry, or building products.
- Additional professional certifications are a plus.

- Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 per year.
