We are seeking an experienced Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) Manager to provide technical leadership for complex rail signaling and supervision systems. This role will oversee ATS engineering activities throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality solutions, effective technical integration, compliance with applicable standards, and successful delivery against customer and project requirements.

Position Responsibilities

ATS Development & Engineering Leadership

Lead ATS development across the full engineering lifecycle, including software releases and data-only baselines.
Establish and drive ATS development strategies across participating engineering teams.
Provide technical leadership throughout integration, testing, commissioning, and warranty phases.
Ensure engineering activities follow established processes, quality standards, and project requirements.

Architecture & Technical Integration

Drive technical alignment of system architecture, design, interfaces, and customer requirements.
Support integration of Supervision Control Center (SCC) systems with the overall rail system.
Manage technical dependencies across engineering teams and project functions.
Ensure requirements traceability and coverage using formal requirements management tools.

Team Leadership

Lead, manage, and develop ATS Architects and engineering professionals.
Promote engineering best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with technical experts, testing and commissioning teams, customers, suppliers, partners, and other stakeholders.

Validation, Verification & Compliance

Represent validation and verification activities during customer, partner, supplier, and assessor engagements.
Oversee change requests and ensure identified technical anomalies are properly addressed.
Ensure compliance with engineering processes, cybersecurity requirements, and applicable rail safety regulations.
Support the development and maintenance of technical and safety documentation.

Prerequisites

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Significant experience managing engineering activities on complex technical projects.
Strong background in railway systems, particularly Automatic Train Supervision (ATS).
Experience leading multi-site engineering teams.
Experience working with customers in technical or contractual discussions.
Strong knowledge of software design, data preparation, system integration, validation, and design governance.
Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or equivalent.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)

PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.
Professional certification in engineering, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
Training or certification in rail safety, signaling, cybersecurity, or systems engineering.
