We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation of electronic systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise working with electronic test equipment, military standards, and engineering documentation while ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with established procedures.
Position Responsibilities
Electronics Assembly & Testing
- Assemble, install, and test electronic systems, assemblies, and components.
- Perform functional testing using industry-standard electronic test equipment.
- Verify system performance and document test results.
Troubleshooting & Repair
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and electronic equipment issues.
- Repair and replace defective components as required.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts.
Technical Documentation
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Assist in preparing and updating technical documentation and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of testing, repairs, and equipment configurations.
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform preventive maintenance and calibration support for electronic equipment.
- Ensure proper operation of laboratory and production test equipment.
- Support configuration management and equipment upgrades.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all work complies with applicable military, engineering, and quality standards.
- Follow established safety procedures and documentation requirements.
- Support inspections, audits, and quality assurance initiatives.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with engineers, quality personnel, and program teams.
- Provide technical support during product development and system integration activities.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and technical problem-solving.
Prerequisites
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 5+ years of experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic systems.
- Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, digital multimeters, and power supplies.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of military standards, electronic assembly practices, and quality requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain or maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)
- Certified Electronics Technician (CET)
- IPC-A-610 Certification
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certification
- CompTIA A+ or Electronics-related Technical Certification
- Secret Security Clearance
