We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Sales to lead sales operations, drive revenue growth, and develop high-performing sales teams. The ideal candidate will create and execute sales strategies, strengthen customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Position Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Establish sales objectives, performance metrics, and growth initiatives.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets.
- Expand existing customer relationships while developing new strategic accounts.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to identify opportunities for growth.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and support.
- Resolve complex customer issues and strengthen long-term partnerships.
Sales Operations
- Monitor sales performance, forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline management.
- Analyze sales data and implement strategies to improve overall performance.
- Ensure consistent execution of sales processes and best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations, marketing, finance, customer service, and leadership teams to support business objectives.
- Coordinate customer initiatives and ensure successful execution of strategic projects.
- Communicate market insights and customer feedback to internal stakeholders.
Team Development
- Recruit, coach, and develop sales professionals.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support career development.
- Foster a collaborative, results-driven sales culture.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Several years of progressive sales leadership experience, including managing high-performing sales teams.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and developing strategic customer relationships.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience with sales forecasting, CRM systems, and performance analytics.
- Ability to develop and execute long-term sales strategies.
- Strong business acumen and customer-focused mindset.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)
- Certified Professional Sales Leader (CPSL).
- Certified Sales Leadership Professional (CSLP).
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
- CRM platform certification (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
