We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Consultant – Glufosinate to provide technical expertise and consulting support for chemical manufacturing operations. This role focuses on supporting production scale-up, troubleshooting manufacturing challenges, and optimizing production processes related to glufosinate. The ideal candidate brings extensive technical knowledge, strong problem-solving abilities, and experience working within complex chemical manufacturing environments.
Position Responsibilities
Process Scale-Up & Technical Support
- Provide technical guidance during production scale-up and process optimization activities.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve manufacturing process and equipment issues.
- Support the implementation of best practices to improve operational efficiency and production reliability.
Manufacturing Process Improvement
- Evaluate existing production processes and recommend improvements to enhance quality, productivity, and operational performance.
- Analyze technical challenges and develop practical, data-driven solutions.
- Assist with process validation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Equipment & Operational Guidance
- Advise on equipment performance, maintenance considerations, and process reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve manufacturing systems and equipment utilization.
- Support troubleshooting efforts involving production equipment and supporting workshop operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with production, engineering, and technical teams to support manufacturing objectives.
- Share technical expertise and mentor internal personnel when needed.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and recommendations related to manufacturing improvements.
Prerequisites
- Doctoral degree preferred in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- Strong knowledge of glufosinate production processes and supporting manufacturing equipment.
- Experience supporting chemical manufacturing process scale-up and troubleshooting.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and technical consulting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience with major chemical manufacturing organizations is highly desirable.
- Candidates with extensive technical expertise may be considered even if they have fewer than five years of directly related experience.
Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)
- Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Certification.
- Process Safety Management (PSM) training.
- Relevant industry or chemical manufacturing certifications.
