We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to lead and support a broad range of corporate tax functions, including tax compliance, tax planning, international tax matters, transfer pricing, tax provisions, and strategic business initiatives. This role will partner closely with finance, accounting, legal, and executive leadership teams to ensure compliance with tax regulations while identifying opportunities to optimize the organization’s tax position and support long-term business growth.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and detail-oriented tax professional with strong technical expertise, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex domestic and international tax matters in a dynamic business environment.
Position Responsibilities
Tax Compliance & Reporting
- Prepare, review, and manage federal, state, and local tax filings.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns and related documentation.
- Monitor tax compliance requirements and maintain adherence to applicable regulations.
- Reconcile tax accounts and support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting activities.
Tax Provision & Financial Reporting
- Prepare and review income tax provisions in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Support quarterly and annual tax reporting requirements.
- Analyze deferred tax assets and liabilities.
- Assist with tax-related disclosures and financial statement support.
International Tax & Transfer Pricing
- Support international tax planning and compliance initiatives.
- Assist with transfer pricing documentation and cross-border transaction analysis.
- Monitor global tax developments and assess potential business impacts.
- Coordinate with external advisors on international tax matters when necessary.
Tax Planning & Strategy
- Identify opportunities to optimize tax efficiency and reduce tax risk.
- Evaluate tax implications related to business transactions, financing arrangements, and organizational structures.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, business expansions, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Research changing tax legislation and provide recommendations to leadership.
Audit & Risk Management
- Coordinate tax audits and inquiries from regulatory authorities.
- Prepare supporting documentation and respond to auditor requests.
- Assess tax risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain strong internal controls and tax governance processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with accounting, finance, legal, operations, and executive teams on tax-related matters.
- Provide guidance on tax implications of business decisions and projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with external tax advisors and consultants.
- Support special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate tax, public accounting, or tax advisory services.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Experience with tax planning, compliance, and audit support.
- Understanding of international tax concepts and transfer pricing principles.
- Experience with tax provisions and financial reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial reporting systems.
- Mandarin language skills are a plus but not required.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
- Master’s Degree in Taxation
- Juris Doctor (JD) or LL.M. in Taxation
- International Tax or Transfer Pricing Certifications
