Sales Manager

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing sales team while driving revenue growth and expanding market presence. This role is responsible for developing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the achievement of sales objectives. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven ability to build successful sales organizations.

Position Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Identify new market opportunities and growth initiatives.
  • Establish sales targets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activities to drive strategic decisions.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop sales professionals to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and training sessions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support succession planning and talent development initiatives.

Business Development

  • Generate new business opportunities and expand existing customer relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Participate in networking events, industry functions, and customer meetings.

Sales Performance Management

  • Monitor sales activities, pipeline development, and overall team performance.
  • Analyze sales data and implement strategies to improve results.
  • Ensure achievement of revenue, profitability, and growth objectives.
  • Prepare and present sales reports to senior leadership.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Resolve customer concerns and support successful account management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Strengthen long-term partnerships through proactive engagement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, operations, finance, and customer service teams.
  • Support product launches, pricing strategies, and promotional initiatives.
  • Provide market feedback to assist with business planning and decision-making.
  • Contribute to organizational growth and strategic initiatives.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales leadership, business development, or account management.
  • Demonstrated success achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales metrics and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Strong customer relationship management and problem-solving skills.

Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)

  • Certified Sales Leadership Professional (CSLP)
  • Certified Professional Sales Person (CPSP)
  • Sales Management Certification
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Certification
  • Business Development or Strategic Selling Certifications
  • Leadership Development Certifications
