Position Responsibilities
Requirements Analysis & System Design
- Perform system-level requirements analysis, decomposition, and traceability for electrical and telecom systems on maritime platforms.
- Translate customer specifications and MIL-STDs into detailed hardware, software, and interface requirements.
- Support design-to-build activities for shipboard power distribution, control systems, and secure communication networks.
System Architecture Development
- Develop and evaluate electrical and telecom architecture alternatives (power, data, RF, and control).
- Define system block diagrams, power one-lines, and communication network topologies for shipboard applications.
Interface & Integration Management
- Manage internal and external electrical and telecom interfaces, including power, data, RF, fiber optics, and control systems.
- Develop interface control documents (ICDs), wiring diagrams, and connectivity lists.
- Support integration of navigation, radar, voice/data communications, and command-and-control systems.
Integration, Test, & Verification

- Conduct power management analyses such as load analysis, voltage drop, EMI/EMC reviews, and electrical safety checks.
- Participate in shipboard installation, integration, and troubleshooting activities.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure system compliance with DoD and industry standards including MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, and relevant E3/EMC requirements.
- Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies to support design integrity and system performance.
Documentation & Technical Reporting
- Generate and maintain detailed technical documentation including test reports, configuration control records, and product definition packages (PDPs).
- Support design reviews, technical interchange meetings (TIMs), and customer acceptance events.
Collaboration & Technical Leadership
- Work closely with mechanical, software, and production teams to ensure integrated solutions.
