We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead all aspects of environmental, health, and safety programs within our client’s organization. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and strategic leader who can promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all operations. This role requires a balance of hands-on field presence and policy-level oversight to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
Position Responsibilities
EHS Program Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Training & Compliance
- Lead EHS training initiatives to ensure staff awareness and engagement in safe work practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of safety training, incident reports, and compliance records.
- Collaborate with department leaders to address safety observations and corrective actions.
Incident Management & Reporting
- Oversee investigations of workplace accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents.
- Identify root causes and implement preventive measures to mitigate recurrence.
- Prepare and submit required EHS reports and documentation to regulatory agencies.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive initiatives that enhance safety culture and reduce environmental impact.
- Monitor key safety metrics and develop strategies for ongoing performance improvement.
- Partner with leadership to integrate EHS principles into company operations and decision-making.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of EHS management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant EHS regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- OSHA 30-Hour or equivalent
- ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 auditor certification
