We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager – Business Unit to lead overall strategy, operations, and growth initiatives. This role requires a proven leader who can balance strategic vision with operational excellence, driving both revenue and profitability while fostering a high-performance culture. The General Manager will be accountable for business performance, client satisfaction, and long-term sustainability.

Position Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Define and execute the business unit’s strategic vision and objectives.
Drive growth initiatives and ensure alignment with overall corporate goals.
Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities to expand the unit’s footprint.

Operational Excellence

Oversee daily business operations, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
Develop and implement processes, systems, and controls to maximize performance.
Monitor KPIs, budgets, and financial metrics to ensure sustainable profitability.

Client & Market Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Ensure delivery of high-quality products or services that exceed client expectations.
Act as the face of the business unit at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Team & Talent Development

Lead, mentor, and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve excellence.
Build succession plans and foster leadership development within the organization.
Cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.

Financial Stewardship

Manage P&L responsibility for the business unit.
Drive financial planning, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate governance standards.

Prerequisites

15+ years of progressive leadership experience, including at least 7 years in a senior general management or business unit leadership role.
Demonstrated success in scaling operations and driving revenue growth.
Strong financial acumen with full P&L management experience.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Track record of building high-performing teams and fostering organizational development.

Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)

MBA or Executive Leadership certification.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
Financial Management or Corporate Strategy certifications.
