We are seeking a Corporate Manager of Maintenance & Engineering to lead the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance and engineering activities across multiple facilities. This role requires a leader with a strong technical background, proven management skills, and the ability to implement effective maintenance programs that ensure operational reliability, cost efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will excel at building high-performing teams, driving process improvements, and aligning engineering initiatives with the organization’s long-term operational goals.
Position Responsibilities
Maintenance Program Leadership
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Oversee the scheduling, execution, and evaluation of all maintenance activities across facilities.
Engineering Oversight
- Direct engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with operational and business objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and support for plant upgrades, equipment installations, and process improvements.
Team Management & Development
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate maintenance and engineering teams, fostering professional growth and high performance.
- Ensure proper staffing levels and training to meet operational demands.
Budget & Resource Management
- Prepare and manage budgets for maintenance and engineering departments.
- Optimize resource allocation for cost efficiency without compromising quality or safety.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within all teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, production, and leadership teams to align maintenance and engineering priorities with overall business strategy.
- Support operational readiness for new projects, expansions, or product launches.
Prerequisites
- 7–10 years of experience in maintenance and engineering management, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Strong technical knowledge of equipment, systems, and maintenance best practices.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multi-site operations.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in maintenance management systems and project management tools.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
