We are seeking a hands-on and experienced maintenance supervisor for the night shift to oversee facility and equipment maintenance operations in a fast-paced production environment. This individual will be responsible for leading a team of technicians, ensuring machine reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is proactive, well-organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Position Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Oversight
- Supervise night shift maintenance staff, assign tasks, and ensure coverage for all essential operations
- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members
- Coordinate shift handovers and ensure clear communication between shifts
Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Lead preventative maintenance programs and unscheduled repairs on production equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues and ensure timely resolution
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, work orders, and parts inventory
Safety and Compliance
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and correct potential hazards
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Operational Efficiency
- Support production goals by minimizing equipment downtime and improving reliability
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams on process improvement initiatives
- Monitor maintenance KPIs and implement solutions to improve overall performance
Prerequisites
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Willingness to work night shifts on a regular basis
Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)
- OSHA Safety Certification
- Industrial Maintenance Certification
- Electrical or HVAC Technician License
- CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician)
