We are seeking a skilled and motivated process engineer to join our client’s team and drive continuous improvement across both R&D and factory manufacturing lines. This role plays a critical part in analyzing, designing, and optimizing production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. It requires a strong analytical mindset, hands-on approach, and a passion for problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Position Responsibilities
Process Analysis
- Evaluate current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
- Conduct thorough reviews to streamline workflows and enhance output quality
Process Design
- Develop and implement new manufacturing techniques and workflows
- Ensure scalability and quality while introducing innovations
Continuous Improvement
- Lead and support initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
- Monitor key performance indicators to sustain improvements
Data Analysis
- Collect and interpret process data to identify trends and root causes
- Translate insights into actionable improvements
Quality Control
- Ensure all processes comply with internal and external quality standards and regulations
- Work with quality teams to maintain product consistency and reliability
Cost Reduction
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through smarter process design and materials utilization
- Maintain a focus on value engineering without compromising quality
External Contractors
- Lead mechanical and electrical contractors for safe and compliant installation of production equipment
- Ensure engineering controls are in place for safe operation
Collaboration
- Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure integrated processes
- Contribute cross-functionally to large-scale initiatives
Documentation
- Maintain up-to-date process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions
- Support compliance with ISO and IATF standards
Training
- Train production personnel on new or revised processes and operational changes
- Provide technical support during implementation phases
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, physical science, or engineering technology
- Minimum 5 years of experience in process engineering in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in process simulation and statistical analysis tools
- Experience with 2D or 3D design software is a plus
- Ability to interpret MEP drawings
- Experience with project scheduling tools such as WBS and Gantt charts
- Working knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and applicable laws
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective project management and multitasking capabilities
- In-depth understanding of quality control principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Experience working with glass, coatings, fabricated glass, or glass systems is a plus
Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- Additional process improvement or safety certifications
