We are seeking a proactive and analytical Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing initiatives that support operational efficiency, cost reduction, and supplier performance across multiple categories. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for a sourcing professional with a strong background in supply chain strategy, vendor management, and contract negotiation. The right candidate will play a key role in aligning sourcing strategies with organizational goals, ensuring the long-term sustainability of procurement processes.
Position Responsibilities
Sourcing Strategy Development
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend categories
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and risk factors to inform strategy
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through competitive sourcing and strategic supplier selection
Supplier Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, performance, and compliance
- Evaluate supplier performance through regular audits and reviews
- Manage supplier on boarding, qualification, and continuous improvement initiatives
Contract Negotiation
- Lead contract development and negotiation efforts with suppliers
- Ensure favorable terms, risk mitigation, and adherence to company policies
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams on contract reviews and approvals
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations, finance, and engineering to align sourcing with project and operational needs
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development and cost management
- Support internal stakeholders with market insights and sourcing recommendations
Prerequisites
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
- Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, cost reduction, and sourcing strategy implementation
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)
- Lean Six Sigma or related continuous improvement certifications
