Accounting and Finance Manager Job Opening Job Description:
The successful candidate will be part of a team of ten people supporting the Syracuse manufacturing locations and providing shared services for our client. The role is crucial in supporting the month-end closing process, understanding and working within the internal controls framework, assisting with tax preparation and audit support, managing the accounts payable function, and promoting a collaborative, team environment.
Accounting and Finance Manager Job Opening Essential Duties:
- Support the month-end closing process, including but not limited to journal entry reviews, balance sheet reviews, P&L and cash flow analysis, account reconciliation reviews, and ad hoc analysis as needed.
- Work within the internal controls framework.
- Assist with tax preparation and audit support.
- Manage the account payable function.
- Have two to three direct reports and manage their development plans.
- Promote a collaborative, team environment within the finance team and with cross-functional groups.
