Continuous Improvement & Lean Engineer Job Opening Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate Lean and Continuous Improvement engineering activities within the assigned area.
- Spearhead plant-wide and departmental performance improvement initiatives impacting cost, quality, safety, material flow, and productivity.
- Collaborate with operations to resolve complex issues effectively and ensure the sustainability of changes.
- Advance the Manufacturing Excellence culture based on the Integer Production System and its five system focus areas: Strategy Alignment, Leadership of Sustained Change, Standardization, Associate Engagement, and Systems & Process Optimization.
- Conduct training on lean principles and concepts to improve both manufacturing and office transactional processes.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams to conduct kaizen events and implement lean tools such as Cell Design, 5S, Standardized Work, SMED, Kanban, OEE, OE, and Material and Information Flow.
- Train and coach plant personnel to independently conduct lean and CI activities.
- Collaborate with operations teams to identify, quantify and track cost reduction opportunities.
- Guide associates in applying structured problem-solving techniques.
- Collaborate with plant leadership to define, develop, and deploy best manufacturing practices across the site.
- Participate in the production plan development alongside other departmental representatives.
- Assist and coach operations in the implementation and maintenance of the Performance Measurement and Improvement Process (PMIP).
Continuous Improvement & Lean Engineer Job Opening Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in an engineering field. Candidates with a science degree and solid lean experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a Lean/Continuous Improvement role.
- Demonstrated ability to learn, retain, and apply knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects.
- Experience in analyzing current and future states processes.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Self-driven and actively seeking out Continuous Improvement opportunities.
