A leading provider of solar solutions is seeking a self-motivated and proven leader to join its team as a Manager of Device Research. In this role, you will be responsible for technology exploration of thin-film photovoltaic cell technology. You will report directly to the Director of Development and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and achieve project objectives.
Manager, Device Research Job Opening Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Science, or equivalent. MSc or PhD preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in Device Development, Process Integration, or Process Development.
- Preferred experience in PV, Semiconductor/Thin Film/Electronics related industries.
- Strong management experience in Device Integration or Device Development preferred.
- Solid knowledge of Semiconductor Industry or PV Technology Industry, particularly in Thin Film Deposition Processes & Process Control, Solid State Device Characterization, and Device FA and Material Characterization.
Manager, Device Research Job Opening Required Skills/Competencies:
- Proven ability to integrate multiple process development activities simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of solid-state device physics.
- Highly desirable experience in thin-film polycrystalline materials.
- Proficient in experiment planning, prioritization, and risk assessment.
- In-depth knowledge of optical, electrical, and opto-electronic properties of photovoltaic devices.
- Excellent data handling, organization, and communication skills.
- Advanced understanding of process equipment, engineering techniques, and practices.
- Familiarity with thin film deposition methods and processes.
- Strong grasp of material and device characterization, as well as failure analysis (FA).
- Competency in statistical process optimization, data analysis, and statistical software usage.
- Proven problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
