Quality and Process Control Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Quality and Process Control Manager to lead and oversee quality systems and process control initiatives related to vinyl siding production. This role plays a critical part in maintaining high production standards by minimizing process variation, developing preventive measures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance overall operational performance. Position Responsibilities

Quality Systems & Standards

  • Lead the development and implementation of quality systems to ensure compliance with product standards
  • Oversee process and product validation to confirm outputs meet required specifications
  • Maintain a strong focus on process standardization to reduce variation and drive consistency

Process Engineering Management

  • Manage the Process Engineering function for the facility, aligning strategies with operational goals
  • Collaborate with site leadership and engineering teams to improve process controls and ensure efficiency
  • Lead sustained improvements for both new and existing products, including documentation and training

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work with Manufacturing, R&D, Engineering, and Product Management to support business objectives

  • Assist with planning and execution of experiments to optimize production processes

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Collect, analyze, and prioritize data to identify improvement opportunities

Prerequisites

  • Minimum of 10 years of Quality or Process Engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field required

As a key contributor, you will engage cross-functional teams, lead negotiations, and implement supply agreements that align with corporate goals. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

Position Responsibilities

Strategic Raw Materials Management

  • Oversee sourcing strategy for key raw materials across seven sub-business units and over 13 sites.
  • Manage categories such as Acrylic Resins, Phenolic Resins, Green Binder Resins (including citric acid, corn syrup, maltitol, sodium hypophosphite), Batch & Additives, and others.
  • Present category strategies and monthly supplier recommendations to the IPG Management Team.
  • Establish long-term supply strategies aligned with business forecasts and site needs.

Supplier Management & Negotiation

  • Lead all RFP processes using ProSource and ensure all contracts are documented in ProcureNet.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers; challenge cost drivers and secure competitive pricing.
  • Implement formal supply agreements with support from Legal, EHS, Finance, and R&D teams.
  • Monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions to avoid production disruptions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Market & Performance Analysis

Industrial Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the ongoing maintenance, repair, and improvement of equipment and machinery within a dynamic wood-working manufacturing environment. This role is key to ensuring operational efficiency, minimizing downtime, and upholding safety standards across the facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and process improvement.

Position Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on woodworking machinery (e.g., CNC routers, saws, planers, sanders, edge banders).
  • Perform emergency repairs efficiently to reduce downtime.
  • Conduct routine inspections and ensure optimal machine functionality.

Preventive Maintenance

  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on all production machinery.
  • Maintain accurate PM records, including completed work, parts used, and time allocation.

Troubleshooting & Diagnostics

  • Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes to identify system malfunctions.
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow company safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct safety inspections on machinery and report potential hazards.
  • Foster a culture of safety through consistent training and communication.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Keep detailed maintenance records and update work orders and spare parts inventory.
  • Provide timely communication on equipment issues, delays, and resolutions to supervisors.

Prerequisites

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical or vocational certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance role—preferably within the woodworking industry.

Technical Skills

  • Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills (MUST HAVE).
  • Experience with CNC machinery, PLC systems, and industrial control systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Soft Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting tools and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in environments with moderate noise and dust.

Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)

  • OSHA 10/30
  • Industrial Maintenance Technology Certification
  • Electrical or Mechanical Journeyman Certification
  • Forklift Operation Certification

Position Responsibilities

Supply Chain Planning & Management

  • Oversee demand forecasting, inventory management, procurement, and logistics to ensure timely availability of materials and products
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with overall business goals

Vendor & Supplier Relations

  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts, ensure quality standards, and maintain cost efficiencies
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any disruptions proactively

Inventory Control & Optimization

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels by analyzing sales trends, lead times, and production schedules
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and reduce carrying costs

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with production, sales, finance, and logistics teams to coordinate supply chain activities and resolve issues
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline supply chain processes

Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare regular reports on supply chain metrics and KPIs for senior management
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and company policies

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven experience managing supply chain operations in manufacturing, distribution, or similar industries
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with supply chain software (e.g., ERP, WMS) and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)

  • APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
  • Six Sigma or Lean certifications
