Structural Analysis Engineer Job Opening Responsibilities:
- Apply knowledge of structural analysis, including materials technology, finite element modeling, static analysis, fatigue analysis, damage tolerance analysis, thermal analysis, vibration analysis, and structural testing.
- Determine structural adequacy according to customer requirements and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate on structural design, manufacturing, and post-delivery of products.
- Exhibit effective communication within a team environment.
- Demonstrate advanced problem-solving ability.
- Mentor other engineers.
- Utilize classical structural analysis techniques, using free body diagrams and internal loads model data.
Structural Analysis Engineer Job Opening Requirements:
- Possess working knowledge of aerospace industry practices and standards.
- Show excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be a resident of or willing to relocate to the Wichita, KS area.
- Educational credentials meeting the company classification standards for engineers.
- Typically require 10+ years’ experience in a stress or structural analysis engineering role.
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related course of study obtained from an ABET accredited program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Detailed FEA, with experience in both metallic and composite analysis methods.
- Familiarity with CATIA V5 or V6 tools, and fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
