Small Is The New Big
We are often pitted against the large billion dollar search firms and the question comes up: “as a boutique search firm, how can you help us better than the larger firms?” It is a great question and it’s expected of anyone vetting out an executive search firm. Our goal has been to expand other brands as JMJ Phillip grew. We never wanted any one of our search firms to be 1000 employees.
As JMJ Phillip grew and our employees grew with us, they have gone on to run other brands. As time went on, we became a group of small but highly connected and mobile search firms that are a part of a single holding company. By design we are still small as an individual company, but as a group, we have access to nearly every sector and vertical.
“Our culture was never to have meetings about meetings”
We worked hard to be the agile firm that is fast on their feet and could adapt and change their search criteria as the client developed a better understanding of what they are looking for. We strive to ensure you get a returned call, as nobody ever wants to be waiting. To stay customer-centric we had to keep the boutique feel, but to compete on a global level, we needed a group of companies to come along with us.
In the end, most executive search firms charge about the same. It really comes down to who you enjoy working with, which company offers you the best customer service, and which company is honestly focused on your search as both of your goals are simply aligned.
