Detroit Plant Manager Overview:
The Plant Manager will be the main driver of success and efficiency at the company’s metro Detroit, Michigan manufacturing site. He or she will be overseeing employee safety, engineering, customer satisfaction, and profitability. The Plant Manager will coordinate all activities of the site and will move plant functions toward macro business objectives. The role will lead continuous improvement initiatives at the greater Detroit, Michigan plant. All of the Detroit plant’s department heads will report to the Plant Manager. This position will report to the Vice President of Manufacturing.
Detroit Plant Manager Job Opening
- The Plant Manager must manage and improve the profit and loss (P&L) functions of the greater Detroit, Michigan plant.
- This position will lead continuous improvement projects at the metro Detroit, Michigan site.
- The Plant Manager will contribute to plant health, safety, and environmental functions.
- The position will recruit, train, hire, and fire plant employees based on operational goals.
- This position will have a role in contributing to plant equipment maintenance, as well as assuring that the manufacturing shop floor is
- There is little to no travel outside of greater Detroit, Michigan required for this job.
Plant Manager (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in a business, operations, or engineering-related field is required for this position.
- At least seven years of progressive manufacturing experience.
- Kaizen or six sigma certifications are strongly preferred for this job.
- Experience in the automation or manufacturing services industries are strongly preferred.
